The Fatzer Smart Service Summit marked a significant milestone in technology, innovation, and the latest trends in March in Orlando. The innovative Smart Service was not only featured at major trade fairs such as Interalpin 2023 in Innsbruck (Austria) and Mountain Planet 2024 in Grenoble (France) but was also the centerpiece of the first “Fatzer Smart Service Summit,” held from March 13 to 15 in Orlando with high-profile speakers and participants. The attendee list included representatives from various sectors such as manufacturers, service providers, researchers, planners, service providers, and operators, including participants from the Doppelmayr Group, Walt Disney World, TechnoAlpin, claystreetX, Peak Tramways Company, Hochschule Düsseldorf, Swyft Cities, TRUcompany, Rotec, Telluride Ski & Golf, and Portland Aerial Tram.
The two-day program at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Hotel in the Walt Disney World Resort included presentations and discussions on topics ranging from cutting-edge technological advances to proven strategies for enhancing operational efficiency. It offered a global perspective on Smart Services, including the latest trends, the evolving landscape, and innovations in system and cable technology and monitoring. “I was pleased to find the Fatzer Smart Service Summit reflected the commitment of a company truly helping the industry to build relationships and connections,” summarized participant Mike Deiparine from SCJ Alliance.
The Smart Service Summit also provided around 35 participants with valuable insights into practice. The Fatzer Smart Service, with its new TRUscan testing device, was applied to the Disney Skyliner at Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, as one of the first cable cars worldwide. The technical tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the 10-person gondola lift built by Doppelmayr USA in 2019, yielded interesting insights. “A unique experience of knowledge exchange, networking, learning, and collaboration,” concluded Fatzer Sales Manager (USA, Canada, England, Ireland) Philipp Enzler about the event he organized. “We are grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry leaders and strengthen the future of Smart Services.”
