The ASCE Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) was pleased to jointly host the International Conference on Transportation and Development (ICTD 2024) and the 19th International Conference on Automated People Movers and Automated Transit Systems (APM-ATS 2024) in Atlanta. These conferences were organized in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
This unique international conference provided us with an exclusive opportunity to network, interact, and exchange information with leading experts worldwide in the fields of automated and guided transit systems. The conference and its impressive setting brought together practitioners and researchers from transportation systems and infrastructure, operations managers, project and construction managers, academics, as well as transport & development professionals, consultants, and contractors from around the globe.
Furthermore, the event offered numerous technical sessions, workshops, and discussions focusing on the latest advancements and challenges in the transportation and development industry. As participants, we had the chance to learn about innovative solutions and best practices shaping the future of urban mobility and automated transit systems. Additionally, we were part of the standardization committee for the People Mover Standards, which was conducted as part of the conference.
